Slow Flow Vinyasa – All Levels
Slow Flow Vinyasa is a flowing sequence of movements, in which the asanas (poses) and prana (energy/breath) are inter-connected. In Jami’s slow flow vinyasa class, some of the poses are held for several breath cycles to refine the posture of the body, mind and heart. Classical yoga poses are taught, along with variations and a few “twists”, to help keep the mind attentive and the body and mind interested. In each class, we will practice being present, strengthen and stretch the muscles of the skeletal, respiratory and cardiovascular systems and cultivate the strength, flexibility and resilience of the mind, body and spirit.
Vinyasa (also called Flow) (Levels vary)
Classes maintain awareness and focus on the breath while moving through a series of postures. The sequence of postures may be different from class to class, but always follow an intelligent progression that moves from basic to complex. This style of yoga builds heat, flexibility and strength, while maintaining focus on good alignment and sound structure. Postures may be held for longer periods of time, and will flow together to unite the body to the breath and mind. Classes range from beginner to advanced.
Yin (All levels)
This class is for those who are seeking a slower paced, gentle practice. Whether you’re living with, or recovering from an injury or would simple like to center and regroup during the week. Breath awareness, yin and restorative postures, along with guided relaxation are combined in each session to help students release tension, enhance range of motion, and improve flexibility. Yoga is not about perfection; it’s about learning patience and self-care. Come share the experience of yoga as a path to natural self-healing and centering.
